Jean Degan

Chair

Jean Degan is the Director of Music at St. Joseph RC Church in Bristol, CT. She holds a BS in Music Ed from the University of Connecticut, a BM in organ perfomance and a MM in Liturgical Music from the Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. She discovered handbells in 1993, and since that time, has started 3 handbell choirs at her church, adding to the 3 vocal choirs and extensive cantor program. She is a piano and pipe organ teacher who is also in demand as an accompanist. She has directed massed choirs and taught a variety of classes at Area 1 events.
